About
Kolåsens Fjällhotell is beautifully located with a great view over the lake and surrounding mountains; a fantastic scenery through out the seasons. In the hotels own “mountain garden” the owner grows vegetables and herbs which - together with other local produce from regions producers - can be found on the plates in the restaurant. Every day when the restaurant is open they serve a three course dinner, all made up of whatever that is in season. The restaurant is open to both hotel guests and visitors.
A three course menu awaits every evening, and it’s cooked my Micke who works in the kitchen. Other then fresh vegetables in season the dishes consists of components such as pickles, chutneys, and marmalades made of vegetables and fruits grown in the garden, or berries and mushrooms picked in the surrounding forests.
All dishes served at the restaurant are inspired by the region, and chef Micke have a big focus on greens. However the dishes may also contain things such as organic meat or cheese from the region, but by request you can get an all vegan / plant-based three course menu.
To your food you’ll get served a range of locally produced drinks, with or without alcohol. The non alcohol range consists of drinks from Jämtlands Vingård, made of blueberries, lingonberries and sea buckthorn.
