In the heart of the fruitful “Apple valley”, by the southern tip of Swedens second largest lake Vättern, you find Rudenstams surrounded by 40.000 apple trees. Here they produced so called “variety specific” äppelmuster which is something pretty unique. Äppelmust is a Swedish classic made of only apples - like an apple cider but without alcohol. Depending on apple variety, and the soil it grows from, the taste of the Äppelmust will differ. The complexity here is similar to the one mentioned when it comes to wines, and with the knowledge about picking the right Äppelmust for your dinner / fika / baking can create a food experience that is really something extra. Except for allt the craft Äppelmust they have lots of other beverages made from fruits and berries.
In the café they serve both fika and lunch daily; soups and a few other dishes that changes weekly plus savoury sandwiches and both savoury and sweet pies.
Connected to the café you find the Rudenstams Gårdsbutik (Rudenstams farmshop) with a great range of veggies, fruits, oils, bread, sweets, äppelmust and other beverages, flours and lots of small goods - many of them from producers nearby.
