In the cosy center of Åre Village this Crêperie and hotell, located close to the mountains, is focusing on serving - as the name lets you know - two very classic dishes from Brittany, France; Galettes and Crêpes!
Galettes are a savoury type of pancake with hearty fillings, and crepes are a sweet version often served as a dessert. The actually galette is traditionally vegan as the batter is made of only buckwheat flour and water (however cheese, among other things, is a very common filling), and the crepes contains egg and might remind you more of a thin pancake.
At the Crêperie & Logi menu, throughout the country (Yes, you find this place in Visby, at the island of Gotland, and in Stockholm too) you find a couple of vegan fillings which are changing slightly with the season and are always equally yummy. Thin potato slices, sun-dried tomatoes, crispy kale, baked onion, vegan fraîche and lemon was served during my last visit. Together with a glass of dry non alcoholic French apple cider, from a drink list which contains quite a few great non alcoholic options which goes very well with the food served, this was like a kiss with France.
